I received an email this morning that caught my eye. The subject line said: “Life begins at 40.” It peaked my curiosity so I opened it up first (in a stack of about 150). It started out:
Hi Beverly,
My name is Amber Mike. While doing some websurfing, your Baby Boomer Diva Web of Fame came up in my Google search. I am an Associate Producer for a new show called “Life Begins at 40″ on TV Land. I wanted to pass along some information for you to spread to your readers.
I kept reading and then I thought it might’ve been a hoax because, believe it or not, people do send fraudulent emails claiming to be this or that and then you find out they want MONEY. There was a telephone number at the end of the email so I decided to call it. Sure enough, it was legitimate. She went on to say:
We are looking for couples that are moving into the next phase of their lives together. Both the husband and wife have put certain dreams and aspirations on hold to raise children and now that the children are more independent or out of the house, it’s prime time they rediscover those dreams. With the help of the show, they can be or do what they always dreamed of…I look forward to spreading the word about the show with your help.
She asked for my help and I’m happy to oblige so check out this interview and see if you might qualify for this new show, Life Begins at 40 on TV Land.
